Brandon is inland suburbia with an unusually wide build range. Brandon has flood risk, but it is the wrong kind to worry about the way a coastal owner does. Only 15.9 percent of sampled locations fall in a mapped zone, the median elevation is around 41 feet, and even the parcels inside the flood zone sit near 30 feet with base flood elevations around 33 feet, so this is creek and stormwater floodplain rather than storm surge.
